Item Description
14.5x30.5" uncut sheet of envelopes, featuring 14 different designs, almost all featuring great equestrian themes. Envelopes were designed for the "Brockton Fair" that took place Sept. 29-30 and Oct. 1-2, 1908 in Brockton, MA. Each envelope design has Fair name and dates as well as small text at bottom noting numbered design. Included are scenes of horse harness races, horses pulling carriages and equestrian jumps. One design incorporates various farm animals that were no doubt on display at the Fair and another has sideshow scene w/barker. Sheet has been folded along each design and has scattered moisture staining, affecting those designs at right. Back of sheet has numerous tape repairs, but sheet comes w/mat and these do not show on front. VG overall and rare as an uncut sheet.
