Item Description
21-1/8x28" poster features large central portrait image of Carl Hagenbeck, flanked by small images of a lion and a tiger at bottom. Poster was printed by The Donaldson Litho. Co. of Newport, KY. c. 1913. At this time, Hagenbeck and his act accompanied large carnivals as an added attraction show. Poster shows scattered handling wear w/obvious wear at corner tips, w/1" corner off upper left, .25x.5" tip off upper right and scattered chips off bottom corners, right corner w/tape staining from aged repair on reverse. Top margin has two faint tape stains. VG overall, but margin issues could be matted and framed for a nice display as main graphics area of poster remains bright and clean.
