Original illustrated box contains battery-operated 8-3/8" tall tin litho lantern w/sides in the shape of a large horseshoe. Ohio Art Co. c. 1950s. Box features repeated illustrations of lantern on two sides while other sides have repeated text/image of Roy Rogers w/"RR" brand. Box has lt. wear w/some creases and even aging, but VF overall. Lantern features nice Roy Rogers graphics and has wire handles. Lantern is missing battery holder bracket/socket and bulb, a factory error. Lantern is o/w NM, old store stock. Comes w/9.5x11.75" blue vinyl sleeve w/metallic "Ohio Art - The World Of Toys" text along edge and opaque vinyl pocket which holds 8.5x11" full color 16-page catalog. Front cover has art of Roy Rogers Ranch Lantern, also shows two varieties of Roy Rogers horseshoe sets on inside page. Lantern is shown again on third page w/detailed text. All other toys shown are of a generic nature. Issued for Fall & Winter, 1956. A few lt. handling creases visible in reflected light but overall VF to Exc.
