Item Description
11.5" long tin litho toy by T.P.S., Japan. c. 1960. The underside of the plain box bottom has a 5" long cut line.
Lid has just lt. edge wear, clean and VF. The unusual and rather elaborate toy consists of a bug pulling a large leaf "taxi" w/monkey driver and 2 squirrel passengers. The bug is depicted w/a ladybug riding on its back, leaf includes images of other insects and acorns. Toy works and as it travels forward the monkey pulls back on the string reins, squirrels spin. Pinpoint paint nicks as produced but NM.
