Item Description
First from the 1930s is a 1” button that came on the doll with text “EFFanBEE Dolls/I Am Skippy/The Real American Boy.” Exc. Displays Mint. Next is 1.25”, a rare button from an Atlanta, GA department store with text reading “I Am One Of Patsy’s Pals At Davidson/Paxson Co.” The Patsy doll was issued in 1928 by Effanbee. This doll was a great success and she had her own newspaper called “The Patsytown News” that reportedly went to a quarter million children. This rare button was produced for the department store promotion of the doll. Last is rare 1-3/8” litho button from the early 1950s reading “Terri Lee Friendship Club.” This is the only example we have seen of this piece. The doll was created by Violet Grandwohl and her niece Maxine Runci with the first dolls produced in 1946. This one has several tiny 1/16” scratches on the right and at the top but overall still extremely Fine and the other two in the group are Exc. displaying Mint.
