Item Description
8" wide by 20.5" long by 14" tall wonderfully detailed, well made Davy Crockett lamp designed to look like covered wagon. Body is wood w/metal rimmed wheels, wooden wagon tongue w/metal chain yokes. This tongue serves as switch by moving it up and down. Sides even have wooden barrel, small shovel and wooden strong box w/wire bands, metal strap and tiny metal padlock. Canvas canopy serves as shade and has "Davy Crockett Covered Wagon" text and image of Davy standing by Indian teepees and frontier fort gates silk-screened on right side. 1950s. Opposite side has partial "Smokey Mountains" decal, indicating lamp was most likely sold in hotel gift shop in the area. Decal shows heavy wear. Scattered aging and dust soiling, but lamp works and is Fine/VF overall.
