Auction #214 - Part II
Item numbers 1008 through 2793 in auction 214
Item Description
11.25" tall (14" tall to top of bulb socket) figural plaster lamp w/figure of Davy Crockett holding painted metal rod/rifle in front of tree. Incised "Davy Crockett" name appears carved into tree trunk. Premco Mfg. Co. (see ceramic lamp by same company #2024), back of base reads "©1955 Premco Mfg. Co. Chicago." Lamp works. Base has some scattered lt. wear/dust soiling and is o/w Exc. Comes w/original 6.75" tall tapered heavy paper shade. Shade has "Davy Crockett" name and various frontier scenes including Davy riding bear. Similar to #2024 shade but much larger overall. Reverse shows two scenes of mountains and wood cabin. Shade has some scattered faint moisture staining to left of Davy image, but this blends somewhat. Fine overall. Scarce w/shade.
