Original 12x14x2.75" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains fringed leather belt w/metal buckle w/raised rifle image and "Davy Crockett - Old Betsy" raised text. Belt has repeated "Davy Crockett" name/portrait image printed on it and belt appears unused. Exc. Belt comes w/pair of 8.75" long fringed leather holsters w/natural cowhide pockets and "Davy Crockett" foil band across pockets. Metal accent rivets show aging w/scattered oxidation on one. Fine. Other is Exc. Holsters contain pair of 7.25" long Hubley "Flintlock Jr." cap pistols w/amber swirl plastic stocks/grips and scrolled metal work including barrels. Metal parts shows lt. aging as holstered over the years but both remain unfired and Exc. overall. 7.75" long hard plastic powder horn is missing cap but o/w Exc. Set came w/rubber knife which has hardened w/age and is now in several pieces and just comes along. Service Mfg. Co., Inc. Mid-1950s. Lid art features two different games on side panels and lid has slight inward warp w/scattered color rubs. Box is free of corner splits and VF overall. Of note, images of Davy Crockett on belt and holster pockets in this set are closest to resembling Fess Parker as Walt Disney's Davy Crockett as any non-Disney Davy items we've seen.
