Item Description
Smallest is .75” and largest picturing Bob Hope is 2.5”. Movie stars pictured and/or named on these include Cary Grant, cartoon characters Mike and Ike, Rin-Tin-Tin (2), James Cagney, Jackie Cooper, Spanky of Our Gang, two for Charlie Chaplin with one showing him from “Modern Times” and the other reading “Keep America Free To Laugh At ‘The Great Dictator’.” This button shows a little age but still with nice gloss. Additional buttons name Knute Rockne, George Bancroft, Alice White, Joan Blondell, and Marlene Dietrich. In the bottom row are three litho tin British issues from the 1950s and these picture Susan Hayward, Ingrid Bergmann, and Lana Turner. The group concludes with Gary Cooper in “’Friendly Persuasion.’” Group includes a few buttons for movie clubs and one anti-blue law button reading “Vote Yes For Sunday Movies.” Nearly all are NM to Mint.
