First item in this group is 3x3.75”. Other papers are to the same scale and all are shown open except the three Orphan Annie papers at the bottom of our photo. These open once more and are double the size shown. Beginning with the first item, one side has instructions on how to make your “Dragon’s Eye Ring” glow in the dark. Opposite side is an order blank naming Walter H. Johnson Candy Co. with expiration date of July 1, 1941. This Dragon Eye Ring was also used as a Jack Armstrong premium. Following item is a paper that came with the Jack Armstrong siren whistle. Paper has Egyptian motifs and details the “Secret Whistle Code.” Scattered small creases. Next paper is for the “Tom Mix Magnet Ring.” Original folds. Next item is for the “Lone Ranger ‘Secret Compartment’” ring from 1942. This paper came with the rings featuring insignias for army, navy, marines and air corps. Next is folder for “Orphan Annie Birthday Ring.” Front panel lightly tanned. Second is folder for “’Whirlwind’ Whistling Ring From Captain Midnight!” Some small creases and lightly tanned on the front panel. Next is for “Orphan Annie 2-Initials Signet Ring.” This is from 1937. A little bit of tanning on the interior panels. Last is for the “Orphan Annie “Mystic Eye’ Detective Ring.” All of these papers are actually scarcer than the rings which came with them. See following related lot.
