Item Description
Each of these is 1.5” to 1.75” tall. The group begins with the basic member badge die cut in the shape of a rocket ship with Buck above holding a pair of rocket pistols. Reverse text “To My Solar Scout Pal” with facsimile “Buck Rogers” signature. Next in silvered brass with blue enamel paint background is the badge awarded to “Space Ship Commander.” Bottom of the piece folds over to the back with a small hole apparently intended to serve as a whistle. Back of the piece inscribed with his facsimile signature and text “Congratulations To My New Space Ship Commander.” Next in brass with deep red enamel paint is the badge titled “Chief Explorer.” Reverse has facsimile signature of him and text “Awarded For Distinguished Achievement.” These three badges are NM to Mint. The fourth item also has its own entry in the Hake Pop Culture Memorabilia 2008 edition as BRG-96. Design is identical to the previous item but this is one of the very few we have seen that does not have the dark red enamel paint. Some very tiny minor marks on the luster but very glossy. The guide value on this item in Fine condition is $375.
