Offered here is a 1970s to early 1990s collection consisting primarily of baseball rookie cards of stars, superstars and Hall of Famers. Approximately 95% of the nearly 13,000 cards in this single owner collection fit the description above while the remaining cards are a mix of second-year superstar cards, upper-echelon Hall of Famer cards and a few football, basketball and hockey rookie cards thrown into the mix. Card companies are: Topps, Upper Deck, Fleer, Donruss, Leaf & Score. A near complete list of players included in this lot is below. Some of the key Hall of Famers that are included in various quantities are: Frank Thomas, Tom Glavine, Randy Johnson, John Smoltz, Craig Biggio, Roberto Alomar, Barry Larkin & Greg Maddux. Quantities vary by player in this huge lot and max out at around 300 or so of a few particular stars. Approximately 90% of the players included in this lot were at least one-time All-Stars in their respective leagues. Current book value for this massive card collection far exceeds our auction estimate, so the dealer break-up value on this group of cards is incredible. The entire card collection has been meticulously placed in plastic sheets and binders. As far as condition, most of the 1970s cards are EX, most of the 1980s cards are EX-NM+ and most of the early 1990s cards are NM/Mint.
