Item Description
7.5x9-7/8" glossy vintage photo mounted on board shows Weissmuller in his IAC (Illinois Athletic Club) swimsuit and has been signed in black ink "To My Friend Harry Barcus - From Johnny Weissmuller." IAC dominated competitive US swimming after Bill Bachrach became its coach in 1912, producing champions up through the 1920s, which included Weissmuller, who went on to win gold in the 1924 Summer Olympics. As mounted, photo has slightly trimmed edges but would display Exc. if framed. Wonderful signed photo for both Tarzan and Olympic collectors. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
