Item Description
27x41" one-sheet poster featuring inset portrait of Tom Mix at top left w/his facsimile signature below his image. Poster is dominated by images of "The Arbaugh Family - Aristocrats Of The Air" whose act was touted as "Beyond All Question Or Doubt The Most Amazing Exhibition Of Skill, Nerve, Strength And Grace That Mankind Has Ever Gazed Upon." Poster also touts "Tom Mix 'Himself' And Tony Will Positively Appear At Each Performance." c. 1936. Poster features 12 of the Arbaughs performing trapeze feats above the Big Top show floor (two clowns can be seen looking up at them). Poster has a few faint fold lines and margins show aging/wear w/2.75" strip replaced at lower left. 1.5" tear at center right w/margin repair. If matted and framed, poster would display Exc. Fred Hoffman Collection.
