Item Description
11x14" artboard has original pen and ink art showing full body image of Superman standing amidst wrecked buildings and swinging a large wrecking ball. Art was created by Ernie Chan (1940-2012) a comic artist who worked in Filipino comics and got into American comics w/DC Comics in 1972. By 1974 he was working on Conan for Marvel, returning to DC exclusively in 1975-1976. He later returned to Marvel and focused on Conan in the 1980s. This art has been signed by Chan at lower left and dated "'08." Exc. Wonderfully detailed art, traces of Chan's preliminary penciling can be seen at spots. Franco Toscanini Collection.
