Item Description
Single-sided 8.5x11" letter on "Macy's Superman Adventure" letterhead (featuring image of Superman flying) is dated Dec. 1940 and was sent out to apologize for Superman show cancellation or delay. It also served to return admission price and issue two complimentary rain check tickets. Bottom margin has names of sponsors including "Superman Inc., Journal American" and "WOR radio 710." Folded twice as mailed w/some lt. handling wear. Exc. Comes w/2.5x5" complete "Complimentary Admission" ticket for show at New York City Macy's Toyland. "WOR Radio 710" sponsor name on stub. Iconic image of Superman to left w/"©Superman, Inc." text. Ticket has been stamped in green ink on ticket portion "Rain Check - Any Performance" and "Rain Check" on stub. Unused and NM.
