Item Description
Tin litho shovel blade measures 6-3/8x7.25" and has attached 24" long wood handle. Ohio Art, 1930s. Image of Donald Duck testing the ocean water w/his toe as two of his Nephews watch from under beach umbrella. Scattered wear to reverse of blade w/some bare metal along edge of blade having lt. oxidation. Front of blade has small traces of wear w/some minor paint nicks/scratches and trace of bare metal at edge of blade. Fine. Scarce. From the Doug & Pat Wengel Collection and this is the actual example shown in their book "Comic Character Metal Sand Toys."
