Item Description
Pair of 2.5x2.5x.75" deep tin litho banks. Both are ©1939 Walt Disney Productions. Mickey Mouse bank is variety w/yellow border (also came in gold). Top and two sides depict Mickey and Minnie Mouse, their Nephews, two additional sides feature image of $5 bill. Reverse has woodgrain design. Noticeable scattered paint wear w/streaks of bare metal showing on edges. Image areas have typical scattered paint nicks and scratches. Noticeable fade to red areas. VG. Donald Duck bank is variety w/yellow border (also came in gold). Front features image of Donald w/money bags and each side panel has same image of Donald w/money bag and "Lookie What I Saved" text. Reverse has woodgrain design. Scattered paint wear on edges w/some spider-webbing to surfaces. Fine. Doug & Pat Wengel Collection.
