Item Description
3.75" tall china cup is by Faiencerie d'Onnaing China Co. of France. 1936. Underside bears blurred Disney stamp and company markings. Front features wonderful full color scene of Mickey Mouse running towards Minnie Mouse w/a quaking duck in his hands. Small "Walt Disney - 18" text at bottom. Matches one of three sets of plates produced by this company, likely "Mickey And The Christmas Season" which featured comical images of Mickey w/Minnie. Upper portion of decal has some slivers missing, but this appears to be as applied and only affects sky area. Silver luster rim accent shows wear. Fine/VF. Rare and first we've seen in our 48 years of any cups from any of these sets. Doug & Pat Wengel Collection.
