Item Description
Tiny 2-7/8" tall (4.75" tall to top of metal handle) tin litho sand pail. Side is marked "Made In U.S.A." along seam. 1930s. May have been sold w/candy within. Pail features great scene of children dancing around "Barnacle Bill The Sailor," who was clearly influenced by Popeye. Underside has built-in lobster sand mold. Pail has trace rim wear but main images of pail remain bright and glossy w/just some lt. aging. Exc. overall and still displays nicely. Scarce, especially in this high grade condition. Doug & Pat Wengel Collection.
