5.5" tall (10" tall to top of wire bail handle w/wooden grip) tin litho sand pail w/raised bottom made in Japan, 1930s. Sides feature large images of Betty Boop and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit as well as two smaller images of Mickey Mouse, one showing him playing catch w/Oswald; the other showing him fishing. Pail's interior shows moderate wear w/scattered oxidation. Exterior has some scattered wear in the form of small nicks/scratches. .75x1.75" area of color loss at tops of Oswald's ears. Metal base has loss to silver flashing. VG. Large and impressive. Very rare and the first we've offered in our 48 years.
