Item Description
5.75" tall (9" tall to top of upright handle) tin litho sand pail by T. Cohn. 1930s. These pails were produced in both 5.75" and 8" sizes as well as featuring embossed and non-embossed varieties. This is scarcer embossed variety. Sides features great scene of Popeye underwater w/diving helmet on, holding fishing rod that is connected to Swee'Pea, who also wears diving helmet as he pokes at fish w/tiny trident. Olive Oyl and Wimpy can be seen inside a bathoscope. Pail interior and underside have heavy oxidation and exterior has moderate fading w/scattered wear to rim and handle edges. VG.
