7.5x11x4.5" deep cardboard box w/space and helmet illustrations contains complete three-piece helmet. There were two versions of this helmet made, one was a premium which came in plain shipping box and one was sold in stores. This is the store version. Plaxall Inc. © The Du Mont Television Network. c. 1951. Box shows moderate wear w/.75", 1" and 1.5" edge splits at top flap and 1" edge split to bottom flap edge. Box has scattered creasing and is evenly aged. VG. Box is rare. Helmet is made out of thin fragile plastic. Clear front face shield (w/circular opening as made) swings up to reveal face. Forehead of helmet has "Official Captain Video Space Helmet" text design in gold. Back of helmet has a few small indents but helmet is free of cracks and is still structurally sound. Fine/VF and comes w/styrofoam head for display purposes.
