Item Description
Largest 2.25"/smallest 1.25". First was produced shortly after assassination and reads "I Have A Dream Let Freedom Ring A Great American Rev. Martin Luther King" and gives birth and death dates. Trace of surface wear seen in reflected light VF/Exc. Second features portrait of King with wings on either side and reads "Angel Of Peace". Curl has copyright "1968 Photo Greetings" with NY address. Exc. Third is simple but bold and reads "I Had A Dream". Lamination error seen at angle covering upper third of button and two minor separations on reverse at 4 and 9 o'clock. VG/Fine. Fourth reads "King Day Jan. 15" with "N.G. Slater" on curl. Produced to promote early efforts to recognize a national holiday. Slight bump just to the left at the base of "D". Fine. Last is c. 1980 and featuring drawn portrait of King and reads "Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Dream" curl names "Donnelly Colt Buttons" with address in Conn. Exc.
