Item Description
Lot of three items, first two are 8.5x11" typed letters on "Trendle-Campbell-Meurer, Inc." letterhead dated July 8, 1958 and mentions enclosed 8x10" glossy vintage photo of Trendle that has been signed in black ink "Best Regards! From Geo. W. Trendle" and bears matching "7/8/58" date. "Blank-Stoller N.Y." photographer's mark at lower left. Letterhead also mentions Green Hornet, American Agent and "Under Secret Orders" proprieties (but no Lone Ranger as Trendle had already sold the character to Jack Wrather at this point). Both are Exc. Comes w/9x12" radio trade publication "The Adcrafter" from Aug. 15, 1939. This has ad for Lone Ranger and Sergeant Preston programs inside front cover and two-page article on Trendle. Pinch creases to spine w/some color rubs. VG. In addition to The Lone Ranger and The Green Hornet, Trendle was responsible for Sergeant Preston Of The Yukon, The American Agent and other radio and TV hits. A unique lot for the Lone Ranger collector.
