Item Description
8.5x11" Aqua-oil painting on muslin that has been mounted on a board. Painted by Mark Arminski c. 2000, painting shows noted sideshow performer Unzie the Albino, who was born in New Zealand and appeared in the Barnum and Bailey Circus, touring Europe and eventually the US as well. Billed as "The Australian Aboriginal Beauty," it was said that he was an albino Aborigine from The Outback, born into a tribe and worshiped as a god by his own people. Arminksi learned of Unzie and was taken w/him, deciding to paint him as part of a series of paintings he created that featured sideshow performers and freaks. Exc. Wonderful image. Mark Arminski Archives and comes with a COA specially designed, signed and remarqued by him.
