Item Description
Lot of four 6x8" rectangular celluloid-covered plaques featuring real photo images of Jack Dempsey and Gunboat Smith together, Jimmy DeForest (see previous item #867 for DeForest bio) and Kid Chocolate w/unknown man, Lou Barba and Harold Mays (both w/name printed under images, Mays having faint "Heavyweight Title Contender" text and address). Late 1920s to early 1930s. Plaques are complete w/wire stanchion easel backs and show some scattered edge wear/aging but o/w remain bright and glossy. VF overall. Rare. This and following lot #869 originated from the collection of DeForest. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
