Item Description
7.75x10.75" program w/20 pages for football game that took place Sept. 23, 1928 at City Stadium in Green Bay, WI. The Green Bay Packers were completely swept off their feet when the visiting Frankford squad put up three touchdowns in the first quarter, en route to the team's 19-9 victory over Curly Lambeau's stunned squad. This original program is an impressive reminder of one of only a handful of Packers losses during the 1920s. Printed by The Green Bay Football Corporation, program features photo and biographies of players that include Professional Football Hall of Fame and Packers Hall of Fame member coach Curly Lambeau as well as Packers HOF members Verne Lewellen, Whitey Woodin, "Jug" Earpe, "Boob" Darling, Lavvie Dilweg, "Red" Dunn and others. Scoring section remains unused and program has some scattered dust soiling to cover w/handling wear including some creases and pinch creases to spine. Fine overall. Historic early Packers item.
