27x41" one-sheet poster for the 1937 re-release (as indicated by the two-color printing as opposed to the orignal's full color printing) of the 1931 Mascot serial starring American football player "Red" Grange. The serial's title, "The Galloping Ghost," is the nickname of Grange. College and pro football HOF member Grange played himself as a college player who is kicked off his team after attacking his friend upon finding out said friend accepted a bribe to throw the big game. Grange has signed "Best Wishes To Ben From 'Red' Grange." Poster is evenly aged and shows moderate edge wear, w/scattered small tears and chips. Lower left has some scattered lt. moisture staining. Poster has never been folded and would display Fine if matted and framed. A rarity as far as signed Red Grange items go, as the original posters rarely come up for sale. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
