Item Description
Nine items. Largest 23x29"/smallest 4x8". First three items are from 1970 census campaign "Make Black Count". Poster, tri-fold brochure and 2.25" litho button all featuring a black power fist holding a pen. Exc. Next four items all read "NAACP Vote Be Heard" all with different images at center including Martin Luther King and Dr. Benjamin Hooks. Two of the placards have cut out images applied at center one with image of young girl reading "Invest In Her Future" the other reading "You Want Better Schools Vote For Them". Some minor areas of loss near the pair of holes at top from display around neck during marches. Otherwise only light brown toning at edges. Fine/VF. Last two items are placards first reading "Invest In Her Future Register And Vote" second features image of King by artist Avery Clayton made for "Service Employees International Union AFL-CIO, CLC" with additional "We Share The Dream". Minor handling wear otherwise Exc. Marshall Levin Collection. Comes with Hake's COA.
