Item numbers 988 through 2613 in auction 215
Item Description
Original cardboard shipping box contains 11" tall exquisite bone china figurine atop wooden base. Issued in 1994 by Another Rainbow through Connoisseur of Malvern. Donald Duck is depicted in dapper attire w/zircon accent on tie and he holds a bouquet of flowers in one hand, his cane in the other. One of Donald's nephews serves as a shoe-shine boy. Barks has hand-signed one side of the shoe-shine kit in gold paint pen. Based on his 1975 painting "Dude For A Day," this limited edition figurine is one of just 100 produced. Of those 100, only 75 remain, 25 having been destroyed in an arranged agreement between Another Rainbow and The Walt Disney Company. Disney oversaw the destruction of these items. Back side of shoe-shine box has "53" edition number and shipping box label has matching number. Box has several "Fragile" shipping labels and printed instruction label. Box is worn and has inked text on one side. Fine overall and just comes along. Figurine is Mint as issued.
