9.5x12" sheet of animation paper has 6.75x10.5" lead pencil image area depicting bkg. for the 1934 animated short in which china pieces come to life after hours at a shop and battle a china demon who takes a female figurine. Several of the anthropomorphic pieces are broken in the process. This bkg. shows two lidded canisters looking to the right w/frightened look on their faces. One has very lt. crack across body while other has small piece broken out, laying on ground. Smaller layout sketch at bottom center. This bkg. does not specifically appear in the short, but similar scenes appear when the shopkeeper arrives to survey the damage in the morning. Sheet has moderate aging and scattered handling wear w/.25" piece out of lower right margin. .5" spot of faint moisture staining at top center. VG overall, but art still displays nicely.
