This is 15/16” and Hake #3032. Reverse is tin covered with a vertical pin. The tin back has a large cutout tab in order to hold the pin shaft into position while worn. Front of the piece features his full name above his image on the ferrotype with the rest of the text on the brass shell rim. As made the inset ferrotype is in slight miss-alignment to the vertical axis of the lettering on the frame. The emulsion has several exceedingly fine hairlines on its surface but these just show in certain light angles and the emulsion itself remains 99.9% complete and with an exceptionally bright and clear image.
