Item Description
The Blaine item is 1-3/8” designated in DeWitt as “rubber” and it came in red, green and blue in addition to this brown variety. Lower rim edge has 1/16” surface flake that shows very little and the rest of the piece remains NM with a vertical stickpin on the reverse. It comes with a Cleveland item DeWitt 1884-29. This is 1.25” tall with vertical hinged pin on reverse. A brass shell frame forms a Maltese cross with a monogram in brass letters at the center formed by the initials for Cleveland and Hendricks. The campaign date numerals in brass are on the four arms of the cross with the left and right numerals intact but with the vertical numerals “8” and “4” now missing. Beautifully constructed.
