Item Description
Each is 15/16” and both have tin covered backs with vertical pins. The example for McKinley includes an 1896 patent date on the reverse by “A. Phelps” while the Bryan is unmarked. The reverse of the McKinley has a pair of .5” long hairline cello splits along the metal back but these do not distort the shape of the circular celluloid edge. Each features oval portraits of the candidates with their office names below and a burst design between the images. In addition the McKinley example includes the word “Protection.” The McKinley displays Mint and the Bryan is Mint. A rare pair.
