Item Description
First piece is brass luster litho tin 2.75” diameter plus a pair of small extensions for mounting. Reads “Herbert Hoover.” Name area has a number of scattered 1/8” lines of paint loss with couple of smaller marks near the bottom edge of his coat. Vast majority is clean and glossy. This is Hake #121 and there is a Smith mate to it. The second item is an unusual stickpin. The pin holds a three dimensional metal frame 1.5” wide with 5/8” tall opening on the front. The top surface of the frame has a rectangular window with a celluloid insert in black and with the name “Hoover” in red. Light comes down through this insert and then bounces off a glass mirror on the interior thus reflecting the word “Hoover” in bright metallic red upon the glass. Very neat and NM. Don & Mildred Wright Collection.
