Item Description
Group begins with 1.75” button c. early 1960s. There is no maker name. Button has large close up portrait with text “Join Arnie’s Army.” The other pieces are each 2” litho tin tabs each with a photo of Palmer and naming a particular golf event that he won. The tab stems have not been folded although about half of these do have significant scattered scratches. Tabs were part of some contest as their reverses are marked either “Left Half” or “Right Half” and apparently they had to be mated to receive some prize, from some unknown sponsor, with prizes printed on the reverse. All have clean reverses with the exception of the tab for “Phoenix Open 1962” which is missing about 15% of the printing. The tabs probably date from the late 1960s. Only examples we’ve seen. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
