Item Description
Sizes are 11/16” for a small litho “Sox” button up to 2.25” for a “Comiskey Park” button with serial number designating usher or vendor use. The first five items are from the early 1900s. First of these has dust soiled but readable back paper advertising a “High Class Buffet” in Chicago. Second in sepia has back paper from American Badge. Third in dark brown nearly black also has American Badge back paper. Fourth item in blue has obvious age spots on the stocking design and metal back has heavy coat of oxidation. Fifth item has a metal back with circular area indicating it was once attached to a metal spring clip. Front has good color but shows tiny darker dots over the gold background panel. The remaining pieces, probably c. 1930s, include team name with suspended plastic bat and ball both of which have minor damage while the button remains Mint. Next is a dark blue and white button showing crossed pair of socks. All of these are scarce to rare with majority displaying glossy and clean. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
