Item Description
First at 2.5” showing Reddy Kilowatt has rim text “Athletics Vs. Red Sox-Shibe Park-Aug. 17-1937/Compliments Metropolitan Edison Co.” Couple of very faint age marks on right side but still displays extremely well with high gloss. Second item for the Athletics is baseball designed 2.5” button with text “Connie Mack’s Athletics And Sun Shipbuilding & D.D. Co. Invites (area to pencil name) To Shibe Park On July 30th 1949.” Mint and the only example we’ve seen. Next is 1930s 1.25” button with illustration of a fireman and with text “Phillies’ Day.” Spring pin suspends die cut paper body of a fireman pulling on his overalls. Paper has .25” split and crease where it crosses the collet of the button although this is not seen except from the reverse. Also tiny crease across his right foot. Cello has lighter colored air mark on upper right with one dot speck of foreign matter beneath the celluloid. Button and attachment display cleanly and button has gloss. Three rarities from the Paul Muchinsky Collection.
