Auction #215 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 987 in auction 215
Item Description
Button sizes are 1.25” for the “Go! Red Sox” pinned to an elastic topped garter. Largest buttons are 3.5”. First two buttons are identical but one with purple ribbon and one in blue with both reading “World Series 1967.” The first has four diagonal creases while the second has two small tan marks near the ribbon top and a bit of staining on the bottom portion of the button. Three buttons feature slogan “Yaz Sir/That’s My Baby” with two of them also including the words “American League Champs.” The first two of these display cleanly while the third has a little bit of grey marking along the bottom edge, several surface indents and in reflected light a number of small impressions due to the fact that the celluloid on the piece is extremely thin. The same applies to the first 3.5” button in row 2. This reads “Go-Go Red Sox/American League Champs.” Only in Good condition but the following one with the exact words in a different arrangement displays cleanly. Last two buttons, in two sizes, read “I’ve Got Pennant Fever.” The large one is NM while the smaller shows age spots on perimeter. Six of the nine buttons are Exc. to NM. See following related lot.
