Item Description
3” with cardboard back and bar pin. Reverse has .5” surface tear in the cardboard between the cutouts that hold the pin but the cardboard is not split through and the pin remains firmly attached. Front of the button reads “Ask Me” and refers to the name of a card game used as a premium by Quaker c. 1934 which had the complete title of “Ask Me/The Game Of Baseball Facts.” In reflected light a half dozen .5” vertical scratches appear on his face although none of these are particularly deep and under most viewing conditions they do not show at all. Button has unfaded color and full gloss. The piece still displays Mint. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
