Original 10x13" manila envelope w/"Boys - Girls Here It Is! Your Superman Flying Cadet Secret Bomb Sight" text contains complete parts for premium, ©1942 Einson-Freeman Co., Inc. Envelope has scattered handling wear/dust soiling and is missing end flap. VG. This premium is unlisted in Hake's "Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" and includes 11.25x12.5" die-cut stiff paper "Flying Cadet Secret Bomb Sight" w/aviator graphics at left along w/instrument panels and punch-out pieces. Blank reverse side has bomb sight mirror glued in proper place. This shows some wear/aging w/artifacting to surface. Comes w/four separate die-cut punch-out ship target pieces and generic paper envelope holding three black marbles and wooden rod. Also includes 11.25x14.25" sheet w/image of island to be used as target map. Ships have been punched but not folded and map is folded as issued. Overall group is Exc. This premium was initially issued as a non-character premium and then later w/Superman as seen here (though w/no actual Superman content other than name on envelope) and Dick Tracy (see following item #2421). Only the second we've seen of this Superman version in our 48 years, the other example sold for $695. Envelope has paper sticker reading "Premium Library" indicating that this was once in the archives of General Mills.
