Item Description
3x6x1.25" deep cardboard mailing box without label contains early 1960s premium. The yellow hard plastic unassembled premium is 2.5x5" w/all parts still attached to sprue. Includes space capsule w/raised astronaut figure on base and spring-loaded lauching mechanism is complete w/spring. Also comes w/original (now fossilized) Tootsie Roll candy which serves as the body of the rocket. We've included a replacement Tootsie Roll. Premium comes w/paper sheet which opens to total size of 17x19.5". One side is full color "Astronaut In Orbit Target Game." This includes illustration of the Earth w/different point target areas and rules printed on bottom margin. Reverse is bw w/assembly instructions, illustrations of games that could be played and list of "Men In Space" from U.S. and U.S.S.R. starting w/Gagarin 4/12/61 through Schirra 10/3/62. Also includes coupon for additional premiums available for 25 cents and three 5 cent Tootsie Roll wrappers. Sheet has a couple of tiny edge tears and original fold. Plastic premium is Mint. Nice design. Only our second offered.
