Item Description
Lot of four psychedelic Family Dog (FD) concert posters designed by legendary rock concert poster artist Victor Moscoso. All are from concerts that took place in 1967 at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA. First two are first (red) and second (pink) printings of FD-86 which measure 14x19-15/16" and 14x20". For Oct. 6-8 concerts that featured Blue Cheer, Lee Michaels and Clifton Chenier. Art features flowers in vase, psychedelic lettering hidden amongst the blooms. First printing has some lt. scattered handling wear and is VF/Exc. Second printing has 2" crease at upper right corner and 1.25" crease at lower left. VF. Remaining two posters each measure approx. 14x20" and each are first and only printings. FD-95 poster is for Dec. 8, 1967 concert at the Avalon Ballroom featuring Jim Kweskin Jug Band and The Sons Of Champlin. FD-D13 for Dec. 12, 1967 concert at The Denver Dog in Denver, CO. featuring Jim Kweskin Jug Band and Solid Muldoon. Both posters feature art by Rick Griffin and Victor Moscosco. When posters are put together, they form a rainbow and completed image of face and heart. Both have minor corner bumps and are Exc. overall.
