This comic book aviation hero had a supporting radio program. Group begins with brass badge showing club name and wings which was used c. 1940 but then discontinued during the war because of metal restrictions as referenced in the club letter in this group. Badge is Mint. Second item is 4.25” wide membership card with inked member’s name. Tiny corner crease and one pinhole but clean. Next is 5.5x8.5” “Congratulations!” letter. Text of letter notes that rather than a “Pin” enclosed is a “Label” as the result of scarcity of “Metal Which Is So Vitally Needed For Post-War Production.” One inked initial on reverse and two folds as mailed but Exc. Last is a 2.75” fabric patch without text. We do not know if this was a club issue or not but the collection that this came from had a knowledgeable collector behind it so perhaps it is.
