Item Description
Lot of four carved wooden wind-up music boxes featuring Charles Schulz's "Peanuts" characters. Made in Italy by Anri, three are ©1968 United Features Syndicate while Charlie Brown is ©1970. Lot includes original Anri cardboard box for Charlie Brown music box which shows wear and is Fine overall. 1968 music boxes are each 4.5" to 5" dia. and measure between 4-7/8" to 6.75" tall. These feature Lucy at "Psychiatric Help" stand (plays "Try To Remember" as noted by label on underside), Linus w/blanket and Snoopy (plays "Release Me" as noted by label on underside) and Schroeder at piano (plays "Leitmotiv Kaiserkonzert" as noted by stained label on underside). Music box function and revolving features work on all three. Last is 1970 music box on 4.5" dia. base. Music box is 6.5" tall and features Charlie Brown in baseball cap holding bat. Plays "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" as noted by label on underside. Music box feature and revolving Charlie Brown figure both work. Music boxes have some scattered aging/dust soiling but are VF overall.
