Item Description
Pair of softcover books featuring great Popeye graphics throughout to paint/color. First measures 9.75x13" w/24 pages featuring art by Segar. McLaughlin Bros. No. 2052, 1932. Pages have full color panel at top and same panel below to be colored by user. Covers have margin wear and age toning, last four pages are neatly colored in crayon/watercolor w/1.5" corner off one page. VG. Scarce. "Popeye Magic Painting Book" measures 8.5x10.75" w/48 pages to color. This was done by brushing water on pages, bringing out colors via "Magic." No publisher is indicated, but cover has No. 332 designation. Spine has 1.5" area w/surface paper split and cover shows just lt. wear. Pages are unused w/just lt. aging. VF w/pages never having been fully opened. Rare and first we've seen in our 48 years.
