Item Description
See previous item #2488. This is a near complete run of 52 programs issued for 1949. All are addressed to same Chicago recipient w/labels/imprints on front/back covers. Lot includes Vol. 1, #35 (Jan. 3-9, 1949) to Vol. 2, #35 (Dec. 31, 1949 to Jan. 6, 1950). Missing just one issue (Vol. 2, #9). After Sept. 3 issue, title changes from "Television Forecast" to "TV Forecast." Covers of note include Kukla, Fran And Ollie; "Coca, Caesar McCarty"; Rogers "Rajah" Hornsby; Milton Berle; "Super Circus" clown Cliffy; Howdy Doody (promoted as "Coming To Chicago Saturday!"); Eddie Cantor; Ed Wynn; David Garroway; Ken Maynard and more. Jan. 24th issue features rare "Sun-Times Comic Capers Club" button w/Superman, Nancy and Sluggo and the head of a parrot. Issues have some scattered handling wear/aging w/color rubs and pinch creases to spines. Fine to VF overall. Rare near complete run for second year. Invaluable reference material from the early days of TV.
