Set of four 3.5x4.5" packs sealed by original cellophane wrapper with "Series" sticker affixed at front center (these same cards were also issued in cardboard sleeves). Packs also come with 3.25x4" advertising card promoting these cards issued by Comic Stars Inc. ©1949. Each pack contains 12 perforated cards featuring comic character illustrations. Cards visible through the cellophane packs include two different of Superman (one of him w/Lois Lane) "Robin Batman's Partner," Buck Rogers, Flame D'Amour from Buck Rogers, Chief Thunderbird and Thunder from Red Ryder, Joe Palooka, Wash Tubbs, Penny, others. Additional characters in this set include characters from Alley Oop, Toonerville Folks, Mark Trail and more. All cards are from "Series A" with packs numbered 1-4. Packs 2 and 3 have notable cello splits all remains sealed. The other two packs are tightly sealed. Cards Mint as issued. Nice assortment of characters. Scarce in this format cello pack format.
