Item Description
Lot of three for same venue as previous lot, #2572. First two are 14x22" on cardboard by Murray Poster Printing Co., third is 17x22" on heavy glossy paper stock by Royal Offset Co. Each promotes week-long engagements, one from 1967 and two from 1971. Jazz artists include - Hank Mobley, Archie Shepp, Donald Byrd, Elvin Jones, Lee Morgan (who was shot at this club by his common-law wife in 1972), McCoy Tyner, Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers Circle w/Chick Corea and more. Each features Slugs' trademark image of a trumpet on a chair. Posters have inked date on two w/lt. margin wear/aging on two and lt. handling wear on one. VF-Exc.
